Our Purpose

The Shield a Badge prayer ministry’s goal is to involve the public, particularly local churches in a commitment to pray daily for “First Responders,” such as Douglas County Sheriff Deputies, State Patrol Officers, and Omaha Police and Firefighters.  Shield a Badge is an opportunity to express support and concern for these public servants and their families.

Prayer Cards

We can make as many prayer cards as you need available to you.  Each one has the name of a first responder on it, as well as a short sample prayer.  The suggested use of these prayer cards is that each individual takes one and keeps some place convenient, like the refrigerator door, on the bathroom mirror, in their Bible, on the sun visor of their car, or on their desk at work.  Then, each day they will be reminded to lift that individual first responder up in prayer.
